At Precious Memories Pet Cemetery And Crematory Inc we understand that when it is time to plan the for the loss of your pet, that cremation is often preferred over burial. In order to provide our clients with everything they need during this time of grief, we provide you with the resources and services you need. We offer private/individual cremation and the cremains are usually available within 24 hours upon receiving your pet, excluding weekends and holidays. We accept pets for drop off anytime during our regular business hours and you do not need an appointment. In some cases, the cremains are available the same day. We also know that many of our clients travel from outside the immediate are to utilize our services. As a courtesy, we offer the option to wait while the cremation occurs so that you do not have to make the trip twice. We do ask that you call us to set up an appointment in that case so that we can have a machine prepared when you arrive and can give you an accurate time frame for the cremation. As a full-service pet cemetery we offer pet cremations and pet burials at our own cemetery with unobstructed views of the beautiful Colorado scenery. Take a tour of our site here.
Deciding on pet cremation can be a difficult decision to make. At Precious Memories Pet Cemetery And Crematory Inc there is someone from our team with you every step of the way to answer your questions and honor your decisions. Should you choose cremation, your pet will be treated with care, compassion, and respect. Your pet's cremation includes the cremains returned to you in a complementary box, as you see below. You can also choose from several urns and keepsake style containers.
Cremation is a process in which specialized equipment create intense high heat to transform the body into a different state of elements (mostly calcium compounds and minor minerals.) Once the process has been completed, what remains is the skeletal structure. The quantity of fragments can vary greatly due to body composition and are related directly to skeletal mass. Our facility has three cremation units.

We would also like to stress that accurate weights are essential since our fees are based on weight and we must also keep an accurate weight log of pets cremated for the air pollution control agency. We are able to ship cremated remains to clients who live out of our area.
We are required to ship using USPS Priority Express mail.
FexEx and UPS will not deliver cremated remains. The cost is based on the weight of the package and the distance shipped
We are able to make paw prints available for any of our cremation and burial clients. We can do multiple pawprints on request offering both clay and ink options. For clients wanting to turn their pets paw prints into tattoos, we recommend having an ink paw print made as it is the most easily transferable for tattooing. We can do both ink and clay paw prints on the same pet and are able to do multiple prints if requested.

Horses on average weigh 1000 pounds, which means, when a horse dies, it takes a significant amount of effort for a full cremation or burial. Because of this, the tradition to cremate or bury only the head, heart, and hooves of a racehorse, began.
The head signifies intelligence and “Will to Win,” the heart is for courage, and the hooves are speed of execution. These three things make a racehorse.
Head = Will to Win – the drive and determination to pursue a sustainable win and legacy
Heart = Courage – moving forward, despite fear, to pursue greatness
Hoof = Speed of Execution – mastering the timing and urgency displayed by champions
Don't think of her as gone away...
her journey has just begun.
Life holds many facets,
the Earth is only one.
Just think of her as resting from
the sorrows and the tears,
in a place of warmth and comfort
where there are no days and years.
Think how she must be wishing
that we could know today,
how nothing but our sadness
can really pass away.
And think of her as living
in the hearts of those she touched,
For nothing loved is ever lost...
And she was loved so much.

Since 1989 Precious Memories has believed in handling each pet with care and dignity, while our packaging has changed slightly throughout the years, we believe in returning your beloved pet in a container to come home in, whether that is their final resting place, you choose to scatter their ashes or you wish to find something that fits their style and personality. We care a large urn selection in stock, but do not require you to purchase anything to take you beloved pet home.
